What is Burning Sissy Valley?
BSV is a non-profit organization who's mission is to unify the intersections of queer and/or trans people of color (QTPOC) through community building in Utah, which creates a culture where we are seen, valued and nourished.
What is PERRA?
PERRA is a neo-perreo/latinxxx dance party celebrating the QTBIPOC community of SLC, it is an exploration of sexuality, sensuality, and liberation through dance.
Andrea (Dj Causita) is an Afroperuvian multidisciplinary artist. Causa is a Peruvian dish, but also a phrase used as “friend or homie.” She deeply believes in the power of art, love & community for healing. Her mixes encompass her multicultural roots and she loves creating fun genre mashups that create nostalgia with a main dish of ass shaking. Causita hopes to bring you delicious beats and curate some fun vibes whatever dance floor she takes over.
Mississippi born and raised, BOOTLEGG's music career started in the church choir and progressed to school band, choir, and opera, all the way to here on this stage.
While growing up on church music and disco, he listened to and gained swag from many hip hop and r&b artists which eventually lead to an appreciation for edm music and many other styles and uses this eclectic taste to attempt and provide a space for people to feel like their coolest inner child.
BOOTLEGG's only mission on the dance floor is to provide immaculate vibes to heal lives.
PERRA Founder, Eliana's Universe, and local DJ Daddi, VI:BRA, will finish off the night taking us straight to hell in style by spinning some devilish perreo vibrasss >:)
VI:BRA is a Mexican indigenous person from Papantla, Veracruz.
Their journey into the world of DJing and music was guided by their inner-healing process, finding solace and catharsis through rhythm and sound. Their artistic expression is a celebration of their roots, centering their Indigenous, Hispanic, and Latine heritage.
